Frequently Asked Questions

The questions guests actually ask.

How much does a session in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber cost?
Single-session retail runs from $99 (Respiro · 1.3 ATA · 60 min) to $400 (Fortius · ~2.0 ATA · 90 min). Members pay $89–$295 per session depending on level, and multi-session protocols bring the per-session cost down further (the 60-session Telomere Protocol™ works out to $250 per Fortius session). Full pricing on the Protocols page and the HBOT Cost page.
Is there a special offer for first-time users?
Yes. Every first-time guest gets one Level 1 foundational session free — your choice of infrared sauna, cold plunge, salt room, compression, BrainTap, vibration plate, percussion + cupping, or normobaric O₂. (Red light, BioCharger, and HBOT are Level 2+ and not part of the free session.) No card on file, no obligation, no upsell.
Do you accept insurance for your services?
We're a cash-pay wellness studio and do not bill insurance directly. We can provide an itemized superbill for HBOT and other services that you may submit to your insurer or HSA/FSA for possible out-of-network reimbursement — coverage varies and is not guaranteed. We also offer Affirm, PayPal Pay Later, and CareCredit for multi-session protocols.
Is there a shower available to use before and after the cold plunge?
Yes. The studio has a private rinse shower available to all guests before and after cold plunge, sauna, and contrast sessions. Towels and toiletries are provided — bring your own swimwear or athletic layers.
How can I contact ReEnergized?
Phone: (562) 689-9888 · Email: contact@reenergized.com · In person: 4434 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90804. Hours: Mon–Fri 9–7 · Sat–Sun 11–7. Fastest response is text to the studio phone during open hours.
Is it possible to receive information about services over the phone?
Yes — call (562) 689-9888 during studio hours and a team member will walk you through services, pricing, and booking. For protocol-level questions (HBOT clearance, multi-session packages, pediatric or off-label use), we'll schedule a 15-minute clinical intake with the founder or a member of our clinical team rather than answering off-the-cuff at the front desk.
How can I book a hyperbaric chamber and cryo facial appointment?
Online booking is on the home page and at the top of the HBOT and Therapies pages. For combined visits (e.g., HBOT + cryo facial), book the HBOT slot first, then add the cryo facial as the second slot — or call the studio and we'll stack them in one visit.
What are the different red light therapy options available?
We offer (1) full-body red light beds for systemic dosing, (2) targeted red light panels and pads for joint, scar, or skin work, and (3) red light facials. Red light is included in the Charged Forever membership and is also available at guest pricing.
What services are offered for targeted cryotherapy?
Heads up: our cryo machines are currently down for service. Once they're back online we'll reopen localized cryo for face (cryo facial), joint and tendon work (knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle), and post-procedure recovery, plus whole-body cryo for systemic recovery, contrast pairing with the sauna, and our 'cryo + red light' face protocol. If you'd like to be on the wait list, email contact@reenergized.com or text (562) 689-9888 — when cryo returns, everyone on the list gets a one-time savings off the standard guest rate for the inconvenience.
What is the temperature for the infrared sauna?
Our full-spectrum infrared sauna runs 140–155°F (60–68°C) — lower than a traditional Finnish sauna because infrared heats the body directly rather than the air. Sessions are typically 30–45 minutes. The dry-heat sauna in the contrast suite runs hotter, 175–195°F.
What is compression therapy?
Sequential pneumatic compression — air-filled boots, sleeves, or hip attachment that inflate in timed segments to push fluid back toward the heart. Used after training, long flights, or surgery to clear lymph, reduce swelling, and speed recovery. We use Normatec Pulse 2.0 and RecoveryAir systems. Sessions are 20–45 minutes.
What is BrainTap?
BrainTap is a guided audio-visual neurostimulation headset that combines light pulses, binaural audio, and guided meditation to shift the brain into specific states (focus, sleep, recovery, calm). Sessions run 15–22 minutes. Included in membership; also available at guest pricing.
How many locations does the company have?
One studio today — 4434 E Pacific Coast Hwy in Long Beach, California. ReEnergized is a single-location independent studio, owner-operated, serving Belmont Shore, Naples, Seal Beach, Signal Hill, and the broader Long Beach area. We're actively scouting expansion sites in Newport Beach and Pasadena — if you know a space that would be a fit (street-level retail, ~2,500–4,000 sq ft, parking, walkable neighborhood), email contact@reenergized.com. Founders and members get first access when those studios open.
Do I need to sign for my Lumaflex Pro order?
Lumaflex Pro orders ship from the manufacturer with standard ground freight; signature is not required by default. If you'd like signature-required delivery, reply to your order confirmation email within 24 hours and we'll flag it with the carrier at no extra charge.

How can I confirm, reschedule, or cancel my appointment?
Confirm via the booking confirmation email (one-click) or by text reply. Reschedule and cancel up to 12 hours before your slot at no charge through the booking link or by calling (562) 689-9888. Same-day cancellations forfeit the session credit; multi-session protocols are governed by the agreement you signed at intake.
What happens if all the technicians are busy when I try to book?
If the online slot you want is full, the booking page shows the next three available windows automatically. For same-day urgency, call or text (562) 689-9888 — we keep a small daily reserve for member walk-ins and clinical follow-ups and can usually fit you in within 2 hours.
How can I file a customer complaint?
Email contact@reenergized.com with the subject line 'Concern' or speak with the front desk manager. Sean Plotkin, founder, personally reviews every concern within 48 hours. For clinical concerns specifically (HBOT, protocols, off-label use), email contact@reenergized.com with 'Clinical' in the subject line and our clinical team will respond within 72 business hours.
Can I get a refund for my purchase?
Unused multi-session protocol balances are refundable on a pro-rated basis per the protocol agreement you signed at intake. Foundational single sessions are non-refundable but transferable to another guest within 90 days. Memberships cancel anytime — no refund for the current cycle, no charges going forward. Full policy on the /policies page.
Can I manage my membership on the website?
Yes — log in via the member portal link (top right of the home page) to update payment method, upgrade or downgrade level, pause for up to 60 days per year, or cancel. Changes to the current cycle that affect billing post on the next renewal date.
What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
HBOT is breathing oxygen at higher-than-atmospheric pressure. Pressure dissolves oxygen directly into blood plasma (not just hemoglobin), driving it into tissues hemoglobin alone can't reach. We work across five depths — 1.0 (normobaric), 1.3, 1.3+O₂, 1.5, and 2.0 ATA — so dose matches goal. Full clinical detail on the /hbot page.
Can I increase the pressure or oxygen concentration during my session?
No — pressure and oxygen are set by the protocol your physician or our medical director cleared you for. Pressure is increased gradually at session start (compression) and decreased gradually at session end (decompression) by the technician; guests don't adjust it mid-session. If you want a deeper protocol, that's a clearance and protocol-upgrade conversation, not a same-session change.
How does infrared therapy work?
Infrared light penetrates skin and is absorbed by water, cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondria, and nitric-oxide-bound proteins. The result: heat-shock response, mild mitochondrial up-regulation, and vasodilation. Practical effects guests notice are warmth, sweat at lower temperatures than a Finnish sauna, and post-session relaxation.
Can infrared therapy help with pain relief?
Several small RCTs and a 2019 meta-analysis support short-term reductions in musculoskeletal pain (low back, knee osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia) with regular infrared sauna use. Mechanisms include vasodilation, reduced muscle tension, and parasympathetic shift. We're honest about the evidence quality: helpful as part of a routine, not a cure.
How does red light therapy stimulate growth factors and stem cells?
Red and near-infrared wavelengths (typically 630–680 nm and 810–850 nm) are absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase, briefly increasing ATP production and modulating reactive oxygen species. Downstream, that signaling increases expression of growth factors (VEGF, bFGF) and supports proliferation of mesenchymal and satellite cells in published bench studies. Clinical effects in humans are dose-dependent and most consistent for skin, hair, and superficial tissue.
What is cryotherapy?
Brief exposure to very cold air (whole-body, ~-110°C for 2–3 minutes) or contact cold (cold plunge, ~38–50°F for 2–6 minutes). Triggers vasoconstriction, norepinephrine release, and a vagal rebound. Used for recovery, mood, and inflammation modulation. We offer whole-body cryo, cold plunge, and targeted cryo (face, joints).
How does cryotherapy help with injury recovery?
Cold reduces local blood flow and metabolic rate in injured tissue, which limits secondary swelling and may reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness. The acute analgesic effect is real and short-term. Evidence for accelerated healing is mixed — cold may actually blunt some training adaptations if used immediately after strength work. We help you time it based on your goal.
Can I use compression therapy for recovery after intense workouts?
Yes — that's its most evidence-supported use. Sequential pneumatic compression (Normatec, RecoveryAir) post-training clears lactate and reduces perceived soreness in published studies. Most members do 20–30 minutes within 4 hours of training. Pairs well with a cold plunge or BrainTap session.
What are the benefits of salt therapy (halotherapy)?
Inhaling dry, pharmaceutical-grade salt aerosol in our halotherapy room can support upper-airway clearance, mucus hydration, and a calmer breathing pattern. Best evidence is for mild chronic respiratory irritation and seasonal congestion. We don't claim it treats asthma or COPD — those are medical conditions managed by your physician.
What are the benefits of blue light therapy?
We use blue light (~415 nm) primarily for acne — it reduces propionibacterium acnes on the skin. Morning blue light exposure also supports circadian alignment for shift workers and travelers. We do not use blue light close to bedtime and recommend warm-spectrum settings in the studio after 6 PM.
What is heart rate variability (HRV) testing?
A 3–5 minute measurement of beat-to-beat variation in your heart rhythm — a proxy for autonomic nervous system balance and recovery capacity. We use HRV as the starting baseline at intake and as a check-in at session 10 and session 20 of any protocol. It's how we tell whether your nervous system is actually adapting, not just whether you feel different.
Can I drink hydrogen or mineral-infused water at the studio?
Trace-mineral electrolyte water is always available to guests at no charge. Hydrogen-infused water is under consideration — the small-RCT signal for post-exercise recovery and oxidative-stress markers is interesting enough that we're evaluating whether to add it as a member amenity in 2026. Email contact@reenergized.com if you'd like us to factor your interest into that decision.
How far in advance can I book?
Foundational therapies: up to 30 days out online. HBOT and protocol sessions: up to 60 days out, with priority windows for members and active protocol patients. For pediatric, off-label, or 20-session evaluation blocks, a clinical intake is scheduled separately before slots are released.
How can I optimize my human performance?
Honest answer: there's no single therapy that does it. The pattern we see work is (1) a baseline assessment (HRV, sleep, bloodwork), (2) a foundation block of consistent sleep, training, and recovery basics, (3) targeted protocols layered on for a specific 8–12 week goal. The 15-minute clinical intake is how we sort what's worth your time and money from what isn't.
